About me

I’m Julia, a graphic designer based in Denver currently finishing my associate’s degree in graphic design at the Community College of Denver. While I’ve been there, I’ve also stayed involved as an honors student and an active member of Phi Theta Kappa.

Design is actually my second chapter. Before this, I earned a bachelor’s degree in education and spent years working with kids before deciding to switch careers. Even though I moved into design, that background still shapes the way I think and work. Working with children made me more creative, patient, and adaptable. Studying education also taught me a lot about how people learn and process information, which connects really closely to design.

This spring, I’ve also been finishing up my graphic design internship at the Butterfly Pavilion, where I’ve worked with their marketing team creating event posters, display ads, and other promotional materials. It’s been really exciting to see how design exists outside the classroom and actually reaches people in the real world.

Outside of design, you can usually find me hanging out with my dog Speck, reading a book, attempting to crochet, running, or playing pickleball badly but enthusiastically.
